DINNER MENU
This morning after breakfast:
Me: “What do you want to cook for dinner tonight?”
Hubby: “We have a chunk of pork belly.”
Me: “How do you want to cook it?”
Hubby: “I think I’ll braise it”.
Me: “Sounds good.”
(At almost 3:55pm in the afternoon)
Me: “How long will it take to braise the meat?”
Hubby: “2 hours.”
Me: Looking at the wall clock, I said, “It’s already 4pm.”
(Our usual dinner time was 6:30pm)
Hubby proceeded to open YouTube to look for a video on how to cook braised pork belly and this was the result…
Braised pork belly parcels by hubby and I opted for a simple string beans with onions omelette. Since hubby wanted to reuse the rope, the fun was in untying it with my fingers and trying my best to avoid touching the piping hot meat but without much success.
I guess some effort and a little pain makes the eating even more satisfying. 🙂
