Well, as far as I know and experienced,

The highlighted two words are the key, why it doesn’t work….

sit down to meditate, it’s a majority of the people do… Right?

I use to do same and found no results!

Why? Coz, only the body was sitting down, but mind??! Its running like a mad horse, uncontrolled!

Well, later I came to understand, its not the Butt that need to sit, but the meddling Mind!

Well….. Meditation is not something that needed to be done by sitting in one place, cut down all contacts from the world, sitting in an Ashram and so on… It’s a continuous process … Like breathing… You don’t breathe half an hour a day, sitting in a dark corner of the room, right?

Meditation is healing, self healing….

Just like the body takes few time (depending on the individuals’ immune system) to heal itself, while you rest.. Similarly mind needs rest too!

How many of us are really giving our mind a Rest??

We may work 9 to 5, or more… That’s essential for earning. Ok. But remaining time? We get Bored so we allot different time slots for different things, that may be ? TV or mobile or social media, in general…

Means mind is running like a mad horse except when one is fast asleep!!

? And some other may complain about, not enough sleep he/she’s getting…. What will happen if you try to hit brakes while driving at a top speed?? Hehehe. ? Just kidding, but think about it… How can your mind running at top gear (which is not under your control now) can end its work immediately as you order it?! Possibly not!

You need to bring it down to neutral. Well, meditation does the same!.. ?

And secondly, it simply doesn’t work!

Well, this one’s bit complex, because from childhood we have been trained to show or expect Results from any action! Right?

That’s a biiiiig problem in everything!

No body taught us to accept the phenomenon “the way it is!”

We are trained to change it at our will, not only that, Don’t stop until you get the desired result as you have assumed … Sounds familiar??

We train our mind to already Decide, what the Results are going to be! ?

And when the results are not met to the utmost perfection, Mind keeps intruding, “its not the desired result” and the individual looses the focus! Sad na?

We stop enjoying the progress we’ve already made, many even hardly notice how far they have come in their inner journey…

DESIRE to get proclaimed result, mind misguides you about your Failures (!!?) to reach the results, so we feel disappointed and we say… “it’s not just working” ?… In fact, brave are those, who never give up, especially when it’s not working…!

If you are one of those… And hav already given up or thinking of it,…. I think, you should give it one more try… But this time do it Right…

Remember….

> Meditation is a continuous process, not half or one hour task

> results may not show directly, but you are progressing in the right direction.

> stop expecting the Desired result, eg. Peace of mind, good sleep, enlightenment (?!) or anything else in the mind.

Just enjoy the journey of self healing….

Just meditate for your sake… Not results.
