Port Orford Cedar wood is a close cousin of the Japanese Hinoki wood. Grown in the west coast of the US it is prized by the Japanese due to it’s tree size and straightness. It is used in Japan for bathroom applications due to it’s wonderful lemony fragrance and high mold and rot resistance. The fragrance of the sculpture can be enjoyed as it is cradled in the hands for a complete sensory experience. Please click the photo for more angles and information in my shop.
